Interview

Hi Mitch!

First of all, thanks for Your interest in Yummie and the members of the group. It is really fun to be reminded of my "bubblegum - era" ;-)

I´m gonna try to answer Your questions below the best I can. So here it goes!

Bets regards,
Petra

Zed and Maestro X revealed to me the working title of a second album, that was in the works, "Bar B Q". What was the meaning behind this title?

I am sorry, but honestly, I dont even recall that working title - maybe because we did´nt make a second album....Maybe Zed and Maestro X can help You with that question? :-)

Is the new material in Yummie's new style, like the single "Get Out Of Your Face". What is your opinion on the new style?

Wow, It sure feels odd to answer a question about our"new style" since it is a long time ago since we stopped working together as Yummie. In my opinion, "Get out of my face" was a good song with the original Yummie feeling but with a slight more raw sound, if You know what I mean?

Would you be able to reveal to the fans of Yummie the titles of some of the unreleased songs recorded under Yummie? Zed mentioned a cover of "Who let The Dogs Out" and X a song called "Jolly Roger".

Actually, there are a few more unreleased, and good, songs of Yummie - we also did a cover of a song called "Rosegarden" , an oldie.

What are your favourite Yummie songs?

My personal favourite is "7 seas". I really loved singin it - both the lyrics and the music really got to me in a personal way. My favourites among the uptempo songs is "Its so Yummie", "Story goes on"...and of course: "Bubblegum"! :-)

Were you also involved with Zed and Maestro X's other bubblegum project, Shine?

No. But me and Maestro X has worked together with other fun projects during the years.

Who were some of your influences in style when singing for Yummie?

I cant say.....I dont think I had a certain influence....Since I am more of a rock singer - I came to use the voice I am blessed with, and then created a more of a "bubblegum" pop -sound when singin Yummie songs. You might even say I tried to sing more "girly" than I usually do...

Thank you so much for your time Petra! It's greatly appreciated!
