Wir3
WIR3, also known as Wir 3 or W3, are a German-based spin-off group of the Belgium group K3, consisting of 3 members Lina Sasnauskaite, Linda Hesse, and Vera Huebner.
Due to K3's success in Belgium and the Netherlands, Studio 100 decided to start a spin-off group to replicate the success in other parts of Europe. Germany was chosen due to the similarities between the Dutch and German languages. Three women were chosen for the project, named Lina Sasnauskaite, Linda Hesse, and Vera Huebner.
Studio 100 produced the group from Belgium, while their music and TV shows were aired on the German network Super RTL. They released two albums, both of which entirely consisted of German-language versions of K3 songs. Rather than being straight conversions of a single K3 album, both of their albums took tracks from K3's entire history up to that point. While they enjoyed some success, they never reached the same massive heights as K3, and were quietly disbanded in 2010. Linda Hesse has since gone on to become a solo singer and actress.
