Biography

Misa Wajima was born on March 1st. After graduating from Musashino Academia Musicae in Japan she felt the need to become familiar with the Italian language and culture, so went to study abroad in Italy. She liked the local area so much that she decided to live there.

Misa's debut song, "Banzai," was released in Italy in 1999, and became a big hit with it's easy to learn Japanese phrases. It was later released in Spain where it was also successful. A Japanese DJ heard the song and played the song locally. It became a hit in Japan after it was played at a popular club, and the song was promoted heavily by a the company "USEN," selling the CD in magazines as well as promoting it on radio.

Comeback in 2005

In 2005, Misa returned with a re-release of "Banzai" in Japan, as well as the new single "Du-Du Di-Da," both of which were very successful across Japan. This led Misa to begin plans on an album release.

In 2006, MISA's third single, イチニチ (Ichinichi), was released, followed by a promo album including remixes of past hits as well as a new song, "So So" which was then released as a single on May 31, 2006.

A couple of months later, Misa's debut album "Misa Code" was released on July 14th. The album featured all of her past hits, as well as many new songs, and was released exclusively in Japan.
