M-Kids is the name of a Flemish bubblegum dance/pop children's band, made up of three young girls, Tamara Cambré, Britt De Winter and Davina Cambré. They are probably best known for their singles "Swingen" and "Funky Monkey."

The group was active between 2001 and 2004, and released 4 studio albums, as well as a greatest hits compilation and a live recording album. Around 2005, they decided to discontinue the project.

Brief biography

The M-Kids were formed around the year 2000, in Flanders, Belgium. They were created to compete with fellow Belgian bubblegum pop/dance group K3 who were making waves at the time. The group consisted of three young female singers, Britt De Winter (born February 24, 1989), and twins Tamara Cambré (born June 10, 1987) and Davina Cambré (born June 11, 1987).

M-Kids became quite popular in their home country, and had several hits. Their most popular songs were arguably "Swingen" which reached #4 on the Belgian charts, and "Funky Monkey" which also reached #4. Their final single, "Leve De Vakantie!" was released in July 2004.

Around 2005, the girls who were now between the ages of 18 and 19, wanted to change the group name to something more mature. However, they later decided to discontinue the group altogether.

It's not known what the girls are up to today, however in 2011 Tamara and Davina were still singing, providing vocals for the Nickelodeon song "Outdoor Play Song."

Comic series

Due to the great success of this group, a Belgian comic series was created based on the group called "M-Kids." However, after 6 "albums" or books, the artists discontinued the series.
