Line (realname: Line Trunjer Jensen) is a bubblegum dance project from Denmark. In 2001 she released her debut album "Just Kiss Today."

Previously, Line was part of the bubblegum dance project Jump-n-Jive, who released the single ''Roller Coaster" in 2000. Jump-N-Jive was produced by Martin Heurlin, who went on to produce Line's solo album release in 2001.

Story of a dream

The following was taken from Line's now defunct Website (www.linecd.dk) in 2001, and translated from Danish to English by Google.

"She had a dream" This is how the story of Line and her debut album 'Just Kiss Today' in and of itself could well begin. Last year, Line sang her way into everyone's hearts as she performed in front of hundreds of thousands of people across the country. She released the song 'Rollercoaster' as a single and on the compilation album 'Hits 4 Kids' [as part of the group Jump-n-Jive]. If you do not know Line from last year's many concerts, you probably know her from P3's children's radio, where she is a child reporter and also participates in the boyfriend program, 'The Pink Cloud'. Here she has been a letterbox editor and helped many children with their boyfriend problems.

Now line has recorded a CD with seven brand new songs, cover versions of three of the sixties biggest hits, as well as five bonus tracks in karaoke version.

The story of Line is also the story of a girl who both wants and can herself. Originally, Line's debut album should have been out last fall, but no record companies shared Line's musical vision. But since Line is a girl with bones in her nose, and is also good old-fashioned: L as Playful , I as engaging , N as curious and E as adventurous , yes you will find some good people who believe in the project and make their own record company.

Along the way, there has still been time to visit the Saturday cabin a couple of times, get its own program in the award-winning TV2 series 'WonderKids' and perform for hundreds of thousands of people across the country at the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation's 'Oh Abe' concerts last year.

Although Line is also an ordinary girl who looks after her school and hangs out with her friends, she is not 'Miss anyone'. It made a clumsy technician feel last year, when he during 'Oh Abe' in Ã…lborg made all microphones howl when Line was going on stage - "It's typically adults" Line exclaimed unimpressed in front of over 30,000 people - "every time you put them to something, then they just mess with it ", after which everyone laughed, Line sang and the technician got red ears.

The songs in Line's universe

The composer Martin Heurlin and the lyricist, Claus Ankersen, have helped line transform thoughts, dreams and imagination into melodic earrings with pondus, action sequences and swings - a string of stories from a colorful child's life that is full of sweetness, zest for life and love.

The original tracks range widely, from up-tempo europop with rocking undertones over dance inspired club beats to romantic ballads.

With Line as conductor, JUST KISS TODAY travels directly to wonderland in a magical universe of original compositions with texts in American English. Here the listener meets e.g. karaoke star Mister Wong, in an oriental-inspired pop number that immediately settles down and tastes more when you have heard it once. In the ballad about the girls' friend, Little Casanova, it is sweet in the center and appeals to everyone between 7-90 who has been in love with the school's number 1.

JUST KISS TODAY not only tells new musical stories, but also offers rehearsals with three of pop history's absolute evergreens. There are not many who will be able to stop singing when Line asks why she should definitely be 'A Teenager In Love' or sings about 'My Boy Lollipop'.

On JUST KISS TODAY you can sing along in more ways than one. The album's five bonus tracks are karaoke versions, made especially for those who like Line - just can not help but sing themselves.

Line believes that all people are something for themselves and that you should always dare to believe in yourself, even though it is not always easy to resist peer pressure and modeling but just be who you are. She sings about it in 'I Don't Wanna Be A Wannabe', a catchy pop song that testifies that neither child nor teenage life is just fun, but also serious.

Fun facts

The following facts were taken from Line's now defunct Website (www.linecd.dk) in 2001. Please note that these were translated with Google and are slightly nonsensical from their Danish origins.
