Cartoons comeback 2018

Danish bubblegum dance group Cartoons recently announced that they will be making a comeback in 2018.
The news was first revealed late last year at the ''We Love The 90's" concert in Denmark by Sponge and Toonie, where they revealed their plan to comeback the following year. Since then various videos, including an 11 minute interview from a Danish television programme in December 2017, have been posted to Allan Larsen's YouTube channel about the comeback.
Since the video interview is completely in Danish, Allan Larsen was kind enough to provide a summary translation of the things talked about.
In the video, they say they are coming back because they had so much fun in the Cartoons, and want to bring some of that fun back. Their costumes and shoes had been in storage for years, and were almost thrown away as they had never intended to return as Cartoons again. However, since they are now planning on returning, their costumes and props get a chance to be used again.
They mention that their shoes are 30-40 cm high, and are very heavy, so wearing such shoes on stage is a big workout! They say the shoes have a value of 25,000 DKK (Danish Kroner), which is about $4,142 US Dollars, and were made at the Danish Royal Theater.
They reminisce about how odd it was when wearing the costumes during their fame days as people would flock around them, but without the costumes, no one would recognise them. They said this was fine by them, since that would allow them to walk in peace.
The group also goes onto to explain in the video why the Cartoons project stopped entirely circa 2001. They revealed how they got a call from Madonna's record company, American Records, wanting them to do a US tour. They chewed on the thought of this idea, and in the end agreed to it. However, when the terrorist attacks of September 11 happened, and 3-4 agents of Madonna's Record Company were actually killed in the twin towers, Cartoons decided to not only cancel the tour, but discontinue the project. They say that after the 911 attack, the entire world was put into stop mode. They no longer felt like it was a time to have fun, and so the project was dropped from there.
Cartoons also speak of the loss member Karina Jensen (Boop), who sadly passed away from cancer in 2016. The members miss her very much.
Cartoons plans to tour extensively with the I Love the 90's concerts in Denmark this year, as well as possible shows in Sweden. No details of a new single have been confirmed by the group as of yet, but we have high hopes that the project might hit the studios to record something new.
