Euro House is a sub-genre of House music, and a style of Vocal House, originating from the European continent. It contains strong influences from Dance-Pop and Eurodance, but on a house music background. Euro House music is generally a bit slower than Eurodance or Dance-Pop music, with an emphasis more on instrumental than melody. The beats and tempo is usually between 120 to 130 beats per minute.

Bubblegum Dancer was originally going to include “House” as a classification for genres on our Web site, however the Genre is extremely broad and on further analysis we realised that most projects of interest here are a combination of Euro and House, so Euro House has been selected instead.

Examples of Euro House include JamPack’s 1998 album “Inspiration”, and the second half of Daze’s 2000 album “They Came To Rule”.

Style & Production

In its most typical form, house music is characterised by repetitive 4/4 rhythms, including bass drums, off-beat hi-hats, snare drums, claps and/or snaps at a tempo between 120 and 130 BPM. There are also usually vocals that are sung, spoken, or sampled.
