Darwich & Garcia

Darwich & Garcia is a Danish dance music production team, consisting of members Ahmad Darwich and Thomas Høgsted. Their most successful act was the Danish girl duo Creamy whose debut album sold 4x Platinum.

History

In 1994 Darwich & Garcia began making music on an amiga 500, using a program called protracker. 2 Years later they bought a PC and began making music on another tracker called Fasttracker2. Originally, they were a band called "Implant" but were later signed with T.G.Management as producers, in which they began to invest in a lot of professional production equipment which they were always expanding upon.

Their debut album was Creamy's self-titled release in 1999, and at the time was one of the fastest selling debut album's in Danish history. The 2 girls in the band are the youngest ever to win a Danish grammy, and was the best selling Danish album of 1999. Other production credits include Catch, Das Saint, Mardia, Mirah, Sisse (winner of MGP 2001, a children's singing contest), Razz (winner of MGP 2002), Smile.dk, and Tiggy. They founded another band around 2000 called "Living Beat", but left it again because producing takes too much time.
